Our store aims to remind you of the early transition between seasons, where lemons symbolize the end of summer and the start of autumn. Consuming warm water with freshly squeezed lemon juice each morning can quickly enhance your immune system. However, achieving overall balanced health goes beyond just lemon water. It involves additional care, kindness, love, and a mindful approach to maintain good health.

Plants are not alternative medicine but plants are main medicine!
Plants are not alternative medicine but plants are main medicine!

In our household during this time of year, we prepare by incorporating turmeric, ginger, and lemon into our diet and begin eating more soupy foods to nourish our bodies and stay warm in the mornings and evenings. We are more flexible with our lunch meals. During this season, we start drinking warm water and tea, while my husband prepares for his fall rejuvenation detox, which lasts about a month and includes the entire process from start to finish, usually beginning in October. For more information, you can visit his website at Dosha Ayurveda.

Another recipe that greatly benefits our family is Turmeric Boosting. This recipe helps alkalize my body and is usually very beneficial for me during this season.

Turmeric Boosting Recipe:

1 teaspoon of Turmeric powdered

1/2 teaspoon of Ginger powdered

1/2 freshly squeezed Lemon juice

1 tablespoon of Unrefined/Raw Local Honey

1 cup of Warm Water

*Note: The properties of turmeric or ginger can vary depending on whether they are used in dried, powdered, or fresh form. If using fresh turmeric, you can reduce the amount to 1/2 teaspoon, as fresh forms tend to be more potent and affect the formula accordingly.

Direction:

Place all the powdered ingredients into your tea cup, then add the lemon juice and honey. Next, pour warm water into the cup and stir thoroughly. Consume within 15 minutes.

*When using honey with warm water, the temperature should be around 65 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit. If the warm water exceeds 75 degrees, consuming it with honey can become toxic.
